A wedding is above all a celebration. Let me set the tone for that special day by creating a soundtrack tailored to your own heart and soul that will last a lifetime. I’ll act as your Master of Ceremonies seeing to every detail and making your wedding unforgettable. Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions are one of the main facets of my expertise.
I’ll provide you with a sense of professionalism and customer service that is both genuine and unique.
We know a lot of planning goes into that special day, from choosing the right venue, preparing the guest list, selecting the perfect dress, flowers, food, and last but not lease, the entertainment. Ask anyone who’s been to a wedding lately what they remembered most, aside from how beautiful the bride looked, they’re more than likely to say the music.
My goal is simple… make it a day you’ll remember forever. When meeting with prospective clients, I’m sometimes asked if there is something I do in particular to get the crowd moving and into the wedding. My reply is all that’s needed to get your guests interested in the dance floor and the other various events is a well-planned itinerary and some great song mixing. I’ll create a timeline that isn’t rushed, but not dragging, that can make your guests feel as though they’re waiting for something to happen.
I’ll coordinate and lead events throughout the ceremony and reception, acting as your ‘Master of Ceremonies’ should you so desire, and I always work smoothly with professional wedding coordinators.
Having all these things in place and performed well, your guests will feel entertained without the need of a DJ being overt or over the top and taking the focus off of the bride and the groom. While some may want an overt personality leading people through dances and making a lot of jokes over the microphone, storytellers and so on, it’s my personal style to shy away from such things and to keep the focus on the bride and the groom and their guests from start to finish.

There are multiple factors that go into a great party. Many things need to be considered, good food and drink, the venue, and of course the entertainment. I believe the latter is the most important element. A great DJ is a must if a party is to have a good vibe and be a success.

The best DJs I’ve ever heard all taught me a similar method in how to approach programming a DJ set. Some call this “the push and pull,” giving the crowd just enough energy to dance and be excited, but never giving it all up until the right moment. Old school DJs like myself have mastered this method, with sets that build up into I gotta’ dance music and then down into something deep for a moment, pushing and pulling the energy of the set to make the crowd more excited. It’s amazing how well this method works, in a single DJ set and also over the course of an entire event.
As a professional DJ, I love taking requests. In fact, it’s that back and forth with the audience participation that I enjoy most. You can stand by your own style and selection. However, playing more than one specific style of music is a great way to gain more opportunities for performance of my art. There are many types of clubs and events, and different types of crowds. I try to find selections from my music collection that will work with these different groups.
